“I went to the bathroom to cry” said Ketlen Vieira about rib injury during UFC 222 camp:

Rising women’s bantamweight contender Ketlen Vieira had to deal with a painful rib injury in the final days she was preparing to finish former championship leader Cat Zingano at UFC 222 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He succeeded in ending Zingano and won a split decision to add serious controversy to the house. But Vieira, in his statement to Combate, was used to fight the injured along his career in judo; which helped him cope with the pain.

“It was really a time I felt, but I tried to breathe deeply and I thought about how much it deserves all my team and this win,” Vieira said. “I’ve never fought in MMA before, but I’ve been fighting judo many times. I even beat a hand. The ribs are sore, now the fight is over, I have taken too many anti-inflammatory drugs to help out and I did not feel much when mixed with adrenaline. ”

Vieira is not exactly exactly what you think, but he believes it is right before the trip to the US. As shown, he tried to hide from his 26-year-old coaches and Andre Pederneiras, head coach of Nova Uniao.

“I think it was ten days ago,” Vieira said. “It was Wednesday before I came here, I started to feel the ribs in the last training session and even my coach asked me about it, and I said I was fine and I went to the toilet to cry,” (Pederneiras) spoke to me and I said it would be nice but I was very worried about it. I knew it was, but my greatest fear was to hit it and not take it. ”

Now, winning against an old chief challenger and still invincible, Vieira does not want anything else to win the title, but something he believes he will win.

“I want to fight for a title in the next UFC fight. I just want some time to heal the ribs. I can wait for the winner of Amanda Nunes and Raquel Pennington. The media told me who was going to win the fight, he would fight for the title, but UFC was never talking to me. In a series of four wins, I have defeated hard players who have struggled in games and Miesha Tate and Amanda Nunes, one of the two champions. I think I won, right? ”

Ketlen Vieira’s (10-0) 4-0 UFC record includes victories over Kelly Faszholz, Ashlee Evans-Smith, Sara McMann and most recently the split decision over Cat Zingano at UFC 222.
