Premier League officials are facing a very serious challenge to test clubs that VAR is also suitable for use in this championship.

For this purpose, they are preparing to develop an improvisation this month.

VAR testing will take place on September 15, when leagues will gather to see if they have the technological capacity to handle it.

The match will be treated as a normal match but assistants in the VAR room will have no communication with the referee on the field.

A Premier League source said referees were encouraged to use technology in the last three Cup matches in Brighton, Fulham and Leicester.

Former elite referees Mike Dean and Neil Swarbrick have been tasked with being the main responsibility of this test. In April, England clubs voted to wait until officials had more experience and to see how it would be expected in the World Cup.

“For me, VAR is not entirely accurate, but we also know that there is no turning back. Technology will be applied to football sooner or later. The plan is for us to use it in the coming season, “said Neil Swarbrick among others.

The use of the VAR system is being reviewed by UEFA to be applied to the Champions League.
