Floyd Mayweather confirms his application for MMA licence for the match against Conor McGregor

Floyd Mayweather confirms that he has applied to take a licence for MMA since the match-day against the champion McGregor is coming closer.

Last summer, we saw a duel between two undefeated champions, one of boxing and one of MMA, fighting in a boxing ring.The american won that match in August and confirms he is planning for the rematch but this time in the octagon ring with the MMA rules. Mayweather managed to win with a technical knockout in the 10th round.

‘Everything takes time. Eventually, we’re gonna apply for the license, and hopefully we can fight,’ Mayweather said.

Mayweather will train with the UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley. Approximately it will take him around eight months to get ready for the big match.

This is a match where Mayweather will try to hold his title as the undisputed champion with 0 looses while McGregor will seek his revenge, now in a ring where he was never defeated before.
