Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp defends Mauricio Pochettino

Redknapp declared that Pochettino had nothing in his hands to stop the two unexpected goals that brought the elimination of the Spurs from Champions League.

Everything was going right until that moment for Tottenham, which was dominating the game. They had scored a goal in first half and everything looked fine. Then out of nowhere two quick goal came unsuspectingly in just three minutes. Even the Juventus side can’t have been expecting such a miracle.

“I just think it was one of those things. Pochettino was standing there, his team were in control, Pochettino hasn’t got to change anything, everything is going their way. The goals changed the game completely. It’s no different to the first leg – Juventus were 2-0 up and Tottenham came back. Did Allegri get out-coached by Pochettino there?”- Harry declared.

Tottenham are in good positions in the English Premier League almost securing a place for the next Champions League campaign. In addition to that they are still in the race for winning the FA Cup.
